God not only inspired His Word, but God also preserved the Bible.
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. – Psalm 105:8
God never changes and God never forgets. In the Old Testament sinners are saved by looking forward to the sacrifice of Christ. In the New Testament and today, sinners look back to the sacrifice of Christ on the cross for salvation. All throughout scriptures you will find that God restates his truths from the Old Testament again in the New Testament.
If God intends us to pass down His word from generation to generation based upon Psalm 78, then logically, God must preserve His Word for all generations.
How is the Bible Preserved?
- Doctrinally
For ever, O LORD, they word is settled in heaven. – Psalm 119:89
If God has settled his Word in heaven, then he has the same power to have his word settled upon earth as well.
They word is true from the beginning: and every one of they righteous judgments endureth for ever. – Psalm 119:160
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. – Matthew 24:35
