And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. – Exodus 33:11
Just because you don’t have a spritual figure in your life doesn’t mean you can’t find a spiritual leader and follow after them as they follow after God.
Like John the Baptist, we don’t need to point others to us; but rather unto God.
The only thing we can do that is greater than what He has called us to do, is to do what He has already commanded us to do. We have to do the things we are commanded to do so that we can do what He has called us to do.
The other men were comfortable watching from their tent doors. They didn’t want to sacrifice their comfort zone to have a walk with God.
When you walk with God how you view God will change.
When you walk with God it will change you.
When you walk with God others will notice it.
When you walk with God you cannot hide anything from Him.
Four things you will need if you want to walk with God:
- Separation
You will only go as far with God as you are willing to go. Anybody can come unto God for salvation, but to go further in our relationship we have to be willing to change.
- Saturation
You cannot walk with God when you are saturating yourself with the world. You will have to saturate yourself with the presence, person, and power of God.
- Seriousness
Our relationship with God should be more serious than any other relationship we have. Many people don’t walk with God because they are afraid what God would do in their lives.
- Scheduled Time
If you are going to walk further with God you will have to spend time with God when no one else knows. You will have to purposefully schedule time with God.
So how is your relationship with God? When your relationship is right with God, your relationship with everyone else will be right.
