Old Fashion Revival 2019

Have you ever wondered what it would be like stepping into a church 100 years ago. Well, we will be leaving the A/C on, and are not taking out the padded chairs and carpet, but come join us for an Old Fashion Revival Weekend!

One of America’s best known Fundamental, Independent Baptist Evangelists, Dr. Dean Miller, Sr., will be out guest preacher. Dr. Miller Sr. has preached many great conferences with men such as Dr. Jack Hyles. God has gifted him with an understanding of the Bible that he delivers through his messages. Come and hear what God has laid on his heart for you.

This year, we are also privileged to host a special singing group, Living Proof. Living Proof is a local church ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Texas. Living Proof is very talented in playing multiple instruments and using their voices to glorify God. We pray with them that God will work through their music to edify your soul and ready your heart to receive the message that God has for you through the old-fashioned preaching of the blessed King James Bible. Living Proof will be with us Saturday Evening and all day Sunday.

Jump for Jesus! We have made an investment into a tent for our church that we will be setting up for an old fashion children’s tent service. Children of all ages are encouraged to come and join in the excitement. We have reserved an inflatable Bounce House and Obstacle Course to provide a fun time for children to exercise and work off some of their extra energy. (Where do they get all of that energy from?) First and foremost though, we will be having a service before the lunch and fun begins. Bring your children for some old fashion preaching, lunch, fun, and excitement.

Old Fashion Sunday. Sunday’s theme is Old Fashion. Ladies, come dressed in your western formal wear with your bonnets and white hankies to waive during the service when God speaks to your heart. Men, come dressed in your old-fashioned Sunday go-to-meeting best overalls.
Q: Do you have to dress up?
A: While we do believe is dressing your best to honour and respect God and the place where he meets with his church, we do not expect everyone to dress up for our Old Fashion Sunday. Wear your best for the Lord in whatever capacity He has provided it to you.

Old Fashion Sunday Dinner. Directly following our morning services we will be hosting a pot-luck dinner. Come enjoy a home cooked meal that has been prepared by the sweet families of our church. It has been said, that there ain’t nothing better than a home-cooked Sunday Dinner.
