“…Behold, a sower went forth to sow.” – Matthew 13:3
We are in our Fall Harvest Campaign and this month we will be studying:
I. The What of the Harvest
II. The Who of the Harvest
III. The Where and When of the Harvest
IV. The Why of the Harvest
We have been studying The Great Harvest and this week we will be studying the ‘Why’ of the Harvest. We know that there is a Harvest and that we will reap what we sow, but now the question is raised…
Why are we concerned with the Harvest?
Let’s dig a little deeper into the Why of the Harvest…
The Salvation of Souls Psalms 126:5-6
We truly need to have a burden for the Lost!
Why did Jesus come to Earth? (Luke 19:10)
Soul winning is the main thing and we need to make sure that we are spreading the Gospel and reaching the lost.
Acts 2:46-47; Philippians 2:2
What are we to be in one accord about?
Sadly many churches go months and even years without ever seeing one person get saved, let alone anyone getting baptized. It’s time we got serious about doing what Christ has commanded us to do and left us here to do—and that’s win souls!
The Submission of the Saints Matthew 28:19-20
We have been given the Greatest Commission from the Greatest Commander.
A reason we should be involved in the Great Harvest of Souls is to show our submission. What does this mean?
Will God give us any new tasks to complete for Him if we are not evening fulfilling the one He left us with?
John 15:1-16
There are two types of fruit that we should be interested in:
1. Inward Fruit – The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
2. Outward Fruit – The Fruit of Others (Romans 1:13; Romans 15:26-28)
